She obtained\u00a0her\u00a0research training\u00a0in the Mohan laboratory and helped\u00a0make pivotal findings on the\u00a0roles\u00a0of type III\u00a0intermediate filament proteins in corneal fibrosis. Alexandra\u200b is currently completing an\u00a0additional year of\u00a0research at the National Eye Institute\u00a0investigating\u00a0human\u00a0transciptome changes and global\u00a0molecular processes that contribute to retinal\u00a0diseases.
