In the News \u2193<\/a> <\/p>\n Welcome to the Center for Molecular Oncology at the UConn School of Medicine. The aim of the center is to provide a fertile environment and forum for basic and clinical\/translational investigators interested in molecular and genetic approaches to better understand and potentially prevent and treat human neoplasia.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Recent achievements, publications, and recognition from our physician-scientists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Sara Halili, from the Arnold Lab, was featured in an October 2025 article on the JAX website: New JAX-led course gives early career researchers a front row seat to personalized cancer care.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Candidate Caroline Guild McNaboe<\/strong> was judged by the Award Selection Committee to be deserving of this meritorious Scholar award. Congratulations, Caroline, on being the 2025 AACR-Women in Cancer Research Scholar Award<\/strong> winner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Sharon Yaqoob-Krzystofiak<\/strong> presented her joint-first author poster at the recent 2025 annual meeting of the Endocrine Society, San Francisco.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Drs. Costa-Guda, Corrado, Bellizzi, Saria, Saucier, Guemes-Aragon, Kakar, Rose, Pascal, Alander, Mallya, and Arnold’s paper “Influence of Vitamin D Deficiency on Cyclin D1-Induced Parathyroid Tumorigenesis”<\/em> was selected as the Endocrinology<\/em> Featured Article of the week.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Congratulations to Maia Jakubowski<\/strong> for winning the 2024 ENDO REGMS Award.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Congratulations, Dr. Christopher Heinen<\/strong>, on being selected as the recipient of the Osborn Biomedical Science Graduate Teaching Award for 2024<\/strong>! The intention of this award is to recognize a UConn Health Graduate School faculty member for their commitment to providing the best education in the classroom and training in the laboratory.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Dr. Andrew Arnold<\/strong> will receive the 2024 William F. Neumann Award, the highest honor of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research, at this year’s ASBMR Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada. Congratulations!<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Congratulations! Prachi Thakore<\/strong>, from the Delany Lab, was presented with the 2023 Raisz Award<\/strong> at the Skeletal Biology and Regeneration Symposium on September 28th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Congratulations<\/em> to Dr. Jessica Costa<\/strong> on the selection of her abstract entitled “Treatment of Parathyroid Neoplasia by Pharmacologic Inhibition of cdk4\/6” as a “Best Abstract”<\/strong> at the recent WorldMEN: 18th International Workshop on Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia and other Rare Endocrine Tumors in Marseille, France.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/p>\n
