Customer Support Services

Our primary commitment is to support UConn Health faculty and staff select, deploy and utilize desktop technology. The following departments are here to help within their specific area of expertise:

  1. IT Service Desk (x4400): An internal technical support center, providing 24/7 phone based technical support for UConn Health desktop computing environments. The Service Desk offers assistance for faculty, staff, students and patients and averages a rate of 60-70% for resolution during the first call. For non-urgent items, email requests can be sent to servicedesk@uchc.edu.
  2. Field Tech Support: Provides desk side technical support Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for PC, MAC and related technologies. Technicians are assigned geographically in order to facilitate relationship building with their customers.
  3. IT Business Services: Assisting customers in obtaining the proper technology for business needs. Ensuring proper contracts and agreements are in place with vendors and encourages use of selected standard technologies.
  4. Reprographics: Management of Xerox fleet of multifunction devices (copy, fax, print) across campuses. Reprographics also offers a full service copy/reproduction production facility.
