The paper first-authored by Dr.\u00a0Puja Kumari, a postdoctoral fellow in the Rathinam lab, identified\u00a0extracellular vesicles (EVs)\u00a0secreted by host cells capture circulating bacterial\u00a0ipopolysaccharide (LPS)\u00a0and escort it to the cytosol of cells enabling\u00a0non-canonical inflammasome sensing and cell death.
