After connecting to the CAM VPN, open a <strong>File Explorer<\/strong> window.<\/p>\n<p>2. On the left-hand column, navigate to &#8220;This PC&#8221; (on older systems this will be &#8220;My Computer&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>3. In the <strong>Map Network Drive<\/strong> window, you can enter the following information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc\">\n<li><strong>Drive:<\/strong> Pick a letter that is not currently in use.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Folder:<\/strong> Enter the path to your desired directory. Ensure the check boxes next to <em>Connect using different credentials <\/em>or <em>Reconnect at sign-in <\/em>are selected.<\/p>\n<p>6. Click <strong>Finish<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7. You will then be prompted to enter your credentials. Select the option to use another account\/another credentials.<\/p>\n<p>8. Select <strong>OK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/high-performance-computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/156\/2022\/03\/icons8-mac-os-logo-48.png\" alt=\"MacOS Logo\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-643\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" \/>\u00a0 Connect to a Server (Mac)<\/h2>\n<p>1. On your keyboard, select the command key and K (<span class=\"ILfuVd\"><span class=\"hgKElc\">\u2318<\/span><\/span>K) to open the <strong>Connect to Server&#8230; <\/strong>window.<\/p>\n<p>2. Enter the full smb:\/\/ address for the directory you would like to connect to. Select the &#8220;Connect&#8221; button.<\/p>\n<p>4. A login window will appear. If you do not see one, the window will sometimes hide behind other windows. Minimize other windows to locate the login window.<\/p>\n<p>5. Enter your CAM account username as <strong>cam\\username<\/strong> and enter your CAM password. Select &#8220;OK&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>7. The network drive will now open in it&#8217;s own window.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/high-performance-computing\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/156\/2022\/03\/icons8-mac-os-logo-48.png\" alt=\"MacOS Logo\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-643\" width=\"30\" height=\"30\" \/>\u00a0 Auto-Mount Network Drive on Startup<\/h2>\n<p><em>Mac OS will not automatically mount the network drives unless specified. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>1. Select the Apple icon at the top-left and then select <strong>System Preferences<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>2. Select your Mac Account name, and then select the <strong>Login Items<\/strong> button on the right. Find the mapped drive on the left column &#8211; you may need to navigate to your exact home directory folder if it does not appear for you. Then select &#8220;Add&#8221;.
