Download Geneious Prime<\/h2>\n

Note: You must be connected to the CAM VPN if off-site of UCONN Health Center. Instructions on how to connect to the CAM VPN are located here: CAM VPN<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

1. Click on the following link to bring you to the Geneious Prime download page: http:\/\/geneious.cam.uchc.edu:8080\/GeneiousServer\/index.jsp<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

2. First, select the link for \u201cGeneious\u00a0Prime\u00a0client\u00a0installers\u00a0download\u00a0page<\/span>\u201c.<\/p>\n

3. Download the most recent version of Geneious for Windows OS.<\/p>\n

4. Then, select the \u201cReturn to Home Page\u201d link and select the \u201cDownload the Geneious Server bundled plugin file<\/span>\u201d link on the home page to download the correct plugins.<\/p>\n

\"Windows\u00a0 Install Geneious Prime<\/h2>\n

1. Double-click to open the Geneious Prime executable file (.exe).
\n2. A installation wizard window will appear, in the Setup<\/strong> window, click “Next >” to continue.
\n3. On the License Agreement<\/strong> window, select the radio button next to I accept the agreement<\/em>, then click “Next >” to continue.<\/p>\n

4. Leave the defaults <\/em>for the Select Destination Directory<\/strong> window, and click “Next >” to continue.
\n5. Leave all defaults for the Select Start Menu Folder<\/strong> window, and click “Next >” to continue.
\n6. Leave all defaults for the Select File Associations<\/strong> window, and click “Next >” to continue.
\n7. Once installation is complete, click “Finish”.
\n8. Open the newly installed Geneious Prime<\/strong> program.
\n9. You will get a popup window titled Welcome to Geneious Prime<\/em>.
\n10. Keep the default data storage location (unless a different location is desired) and click the “Activate a License”, button.<\/p>\n

11. Click on the radio button next to “Use floating license server”.<\/p>\n

12. Enter geneious.cam.uchc.edu<\/em> next to Server, and leave the port as default. It will also require that you enter an email address, this can be a personal email or a UCHC or UCONN email.
\n13. Click “OK”.
\n14. You will get a notification that the license has been obtained from the FLEXnet server.<\/p>\n
