Typically the government excludes or debars indivi<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/healthcare-compliance-privacy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/253\/2021\/06\/MM-Exclusions-Check-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1667 size-medium\" \/>duals who have been convicted of Medicare or Medicaid fraud or a similar offense.<\/p>\n<p>Federal law generally prohibits UConn Health from employing or contracting with excluded persons. To ensure that we are screening appropriately, our office may reach out to you for additional information about an individual, such as date of birth or previous address.<\/p>\n<p>Violations of these federal requirements may result in civil monetary penalties (\u201cCMP\u201d).
