Often, the various solutions that are implemented to counteract these determinants of health outcomes result in incremental, rather than sustainable change.<\/p>\n<p>Missing from our dialogue are the voices of the community and specifically, boys and men of color. Alliance members include intergenerational representatives from cultural, spiritual and community organizations, along with private, public and academic sector stakeholders to guide and accelerate systems change for Boys and Men of Color.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-1671-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-1671-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-1671-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"3\" ><div class=\"panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-1671-2-0-0\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">CT Report Card on Health Equity among Boys and Men of Color<\/h3>\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>HDI has\u00a0developed the\u00a0first <a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/health-disparities\/bmoc-report-card\/\">Connecticut Report Card on Health Equity\u00a0among BMoC<\/a> to monitor key health outcomes\u00a0across nine multisector indicators of health\u00a0and well-being, life expectancy and mortality\u00a0rates. This report card is designed to serve as a resource for policy decision-makers, program evaluators, researchers, funders, service providers, and community members.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-1671-2-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-1671-2-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"4\" ><div class=\"panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-1671-2-1-0\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Visualizing Health Equity<\/h3>\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>HDI encourages the power of art to inspire and advance greater health equity among Connecticut boys and men of color. In June 2018, HDI commemorated National Men&#8217;s Health Month and launched several arts-based initiatives that include gallery events and talks, youth curriculum, art contest, a father&#8217;s day luncheon, and many others!
