Priority consideration will be given to pipeline participants.<\/li>\n<li>A five-week summer program.<\/li>\n<li>Focused on enhancing the preparation of high school seniors for college.<\/li>\n<li>Held on the campus of UConn in Storrs.<\/li>\n<li>Designed to provide solid development of scientific, mathematical, communications, problem-solving, and test taking skills through courses in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Calculus.<\/li>\n<li>Structured to provide room and board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Pre-College Academic Enrichment Program held at UConn Storrs is in collaboration with the BRIDGE program sponsored by the Vergnano Institute for Impact in the College of Engineering at the UConn Storrs campus. Students in both programs will receive the same course instruction and room and board accommodations and will participate in the same activities during the five-week period. Participants in the Pre-College Academic Enrichment Program will also have opportunities to visit the UConn Health campus in Farmington and interact with professionals in the health fields. For pre-freshmen who have applied to or will be matriculating in UConn\u2019s College of Engineering and plan to major in engineering fields other than Biomedical Engineering, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/inclusion.engr.uconn.edu\/bridge\/\">BRIDGE website<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p>All Applicants Should:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be college pre-freshmen who will be matriculating at UConn with a \u2018B\u2019 average or better.<\/li>\n<li>Have a high motivation and demonstrated potential for pursuing a career in medicine, dental medicine or biomedical research.<\/li>\n<li>Be first-generation, college, low income, and educationally under-resourced students who meet all eligibility criteria and have a high probability of fulfilling the social and educational goals of this program.<\/li>\n<li><span>S<\/span><span>ubmit a completed application form using the <a href=\"https:\/\/uconn.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_5BeAmRgmudWdYHA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online system here<\/a>. <\/span><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/hcop\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/61\/2026\/03\/2026-application_pcep.pdf\">application<\/a> is available <span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"white\">for you to work on the components prior to submitting online.
