There is a strong focus on teaching and becoming a life-long learner, which allows for continued growth in knowledge, skills and attitudes of a professional career in Nephrology. We provide care to a diverse group of patients including the under-served population. Fellows experience exceptional training in all aspects of kidney diseases such as chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy, fluid electrolyte disorders, hypertension, bone mineral disorders, acute and chronic dialysis, therapeutic plasma exchange, and transplantation.<\/p>\n<h3>Aims<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Foster a learning environment that promotes fellow\u2019s progressive responsibility and graduated autonomy in approaching complex as well as common renal related problems<\/li>\n<li>Deliver a core curriculum of general nephrology clinical topics necessary for the practice of nephrology<\/li>\n<li>Provide clinical experiences allowing fellows to learn and practice multidisciplinary care and shared decision that reflects quality patient care and respect for patient values and preferences in both the inpatient and outpatient settings<\/li>\n<li>Provide exposure to transplantation to gain knowledge beneficial for the general nephrologist<\/li>\n<li>Provide opportunities for longitudinal continuity of care of patients with renal related problems<\/li>\n<li>Provide mentorship to support fellow\u2019s learning, scholarly activities, wellness and career plans.
