These include a weekly seminar involving fellows from both geriatric medicine and psychiatry. Lecture topics include areas of essential knowledge in geriatric psychiatry. Case conferences allow fellows the opportunity to discuss puzzling or complex cases with expert faculty members. Fellows also participate in evidence based journal clubs run by faculty members. Their focus is on the critical appraisal of seminal journal articles and\/or review of recently published manuscripts. Our program also incorporates online interactive modules to simulate complex clinical scenarios and improve decision making. Lastly, fellows have the opportunity to pursue research interests, as a variety of faculty members participate in research activities and are available to serve as mentors\/supervisors.
