Curriculum:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Year 1<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

2 Rotation Blocks in each of the following (1 Block = 4 weeks):<\/p>\n

  • Cardiac Consults<\/li>\n
  • Echocardiography<\/li>\n
  • Cardiac Catheterization<\/li>\n
  • Electrophysiology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    1 Rotation Block in each of the following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Cardiac Intensive Care Unit<\/li>\n
    • Nuclear Cardiology<\/li>\n
    • Preventive Cardiology<\/li>\n
    • Congestive Heart Failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Continuity Clinic:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Cardiology fellows see outpatients one afternoon a week starting July.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Year 2<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

        2.5 Rotation Blocks in each of the following:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Consults (General Consults, Electrophysiology, Cardiac Intensive Care Unit)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          2 Rotation Blocks in each of the following:<\/p>\n

            \n
          • Nuclear Cardiology<\/li>\n
          • Echocardiography<\/li>\n
          • Cardiac Catheterization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            1 Rotation Block in the following:<\/p>\n

            • Congestive Heart Failure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              4 Elective Blocks<\/p>\n

                \n
              • Electives can be selected depending upon the area of interest (including research). Away electives also available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • Congestive heart failure<\/li>\n
                    • Vascular<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      5 1\/2 Elective Blocks<\/p>\n

                              • Women\u2019s Heart Conference Series<\/li>\n
                              • City Wide Conference (Combined UConn and Hartford Hospital Fellow Conference)<\/li>\n
                              • Echo Sonographers Conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                Each Fellow is required to present Grand Rounds as a third year and City Wide conference during their first and second year.
