Excluding the 6-month retreats, the average workload for each resident and fellow should be estimated to be 5-10 hours\/month depending on the depth of their capstone project.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a summary of the core components of the track.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Curriculum<\/strong>: 12 Session every other month for 2-years<\/li>\n<li><strong>Volunteerism<\/strong>: 15 hours over 2 years<\/li>\n<li><strong>Capstone<\/strong>: Longitudinal project with mentor support<\/li>\n<li><strong>6- Month Community Retreats<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>FQHC<\/li>\n<li>Community Legal Aide\/State Capitol Visit<\/li>\n<li>Community Health Organization<\/li>\n<li>Department Public Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mentorship<\/strong>: Track faculty + project-specific<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A goal of the HDT is to provide not only a meaningful curricular experience, but one a busy resident and fellow can meaningfully participate in.
