This<strong> two-year program<\/strong>\u00a0provides comprehensive training in both Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology Critical Care Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>Trainees pursuing this combined pathway should review the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/socca.memberclicks.net\/fellowships-overview\"><strong>official Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (SOCCA)<\/strong>\u00a0guidance<\/a> for detailed information regarding\u00a0application sequencing, timing, and match exception policies.<\/p>\n<p>At UConn we typically begin the Dual Track with the\u00a0ACCM Fellowship first, followed by the\u00a0ACTA fellowship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Instructions For Applicants:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply to\u00a0<strong>one\u00a0<\/strong>(<em>either\u00a0<\/em>ACCM or ACTA) through the SF Match\u2019s Central Application Service. Please make sure you\u00a0<strong>mark the checkbox<\/strong>\u00a0within the application indicating your interest in both fellowships.<\/li>\n<li>We expect letters of recommendation from the residency program director, an ACCM faculty member, and an ACTA faculty member.<\/li>\n<li>Personal statement conveying why you are interested in combined fellowship training.<\/li>\n<li>Fill out our combined fellowship track\u00a0<strong>supplemental questionnaire <\/strong>(required).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants committing to more than one year of training at UConn may qualify for a<strong>\u00a0match exception <\/strong>under SOCCA guidelines, allowing simultaneous offers for both fellowships within the\u00a0SF Match\u00a0framework.
