These concentrations are subdivided into pathways that allow residents a menu of options for their discretionary block rotations to help guide them in the development of their individualized learning for their future planned career. Residents will discuss with program directors and mentors to develop this plan which is fully customizable to the resident\u2019s educational and future career needs.<\/p>\n<h3>General Pediatrics<\/h3>\n<p>The general pediatrics pathway prepares residents for academic and community practice. We have several established educational units to help residents prepare to enter primary care including advanced practice and population health rotations, rural medicine rotations and primary care research rotations.<\/p>\n<h3>Acute Care<\/h3>\n<p>The acute care pathway is designed to help residents interested in intensive care, hospitalist and emergency medicine prepare for fellowship and practice. A wide array of educational units are available to help residents prepare clinically and engage in research.<\/p>\n<h3>Subspecialty Practice<\/h3>\n<p>The subspecialty pathway is designed to help residents interested in all pediatric subspecialists. Educational units are offered in all departments for which fellowships are available on a national level.
