This Unit is currently under the direction of Jun Lu, M.D., FAAD. This is a clinical research center responsible for carrying out many industry-sponsored clinical trials and basic research applicable to cutaneous disease. Many of these trials address problems related to inflammatory skin disease, such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. The Unit is currently a site for clinical trials examining the use of the biologic therapies for psoriasis, and anticipates similar studies in the near future. We also carry out studies examining small molecules with anti-inflammatory\/immunomodulatory actions.<\/p>\n
The fellow is encouraged to focus his\/her work on the study of psoriasis and other inflammatory skin diseases, primarily through analysis of data gathered from our patient population.
