Her professional interests include health equity, health policy, medical education, and increasing recruitment and retention of diverse applicants in academic medicine. She is extremely passionate about limb salvage and further characterizing vascular disease in high-risk populations. He is particularly interested in complex endovascular procedures as well as utilizing new and innovative technologies in the operating room. As the first college graduate and physician in her family of Peruvian and Pakistani immigrants, she is deeply committed to mentoring underrepresented students in medicine.
