The program is approved by the ACGME in Vascular Surgery to accept one candidate each year following medical school graduation. The first three years include prerequisite clinical training in surgery including rotations in General Surgery, Cardiac, ICU, Trauma, and Neurosurgery, as well as core Vascular Surgery rotations. The final two clinical years focus on clinical training in Vascular Surgery including senior and chief rotations on vascular and endovascular surgery.

Our philosophy is to train the next generation of vascular surgery leaders. We are looking for highly motivated individuals ready to pursue a career as a vascular surgeon. Our purpose is to provide support and guidance through graduated autonomy of our trainees to become confident, skilled vascular surgeons. Our program will expose trainees to a broad variety and varying complexity of open, endovascular and hybrid procedures. Through these experiences the resident will become well-versed in the pre- and post-operative management of patients with vascular disease, through outpatient and inpatient encounters. The resident will also attain the necessary knowledge and skills in the proper use of non-invasive lab testing which is integrated throughout the patient care process from outpatient to inpatient care. Residents will also have potential opportunities to pursue interests in large database outcomes and educational research.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

Kwame S.
