Supervising Faculty \u2013 Dr. David Banach<\/p>\n

ellows will spend dedicated elective time working directly with ID pharmacy at individual hospitals and with the CT DPH on state-wide issues. They will participate in routine stewardship activities with staff on site and have administrative responsibilities as detailed below. Fellows will have access to several online curricula and will have dedicated time to complete these. Research and\/or scholarly projects may be hospital based but also potentially state-wide in collaboration with DPH and DPH state lab, including working on MDRO prevalence in different practice settings.<\/p>\n

a. Administrative, participation in:<\/p>\n

i. Quarterly AS committee meetings
\nii. Monthly infection control meetings
\niii. Monthly P&T meetings
\niv. Monthly quality (QAPI) meetings<\/p>\n

b. Educational<\/p>\n

i. ACP High Value Care Curriculum for Subspecialty Fellows<\/a>
\nii. IDSA AS curriculum (basic and advanced)
\niii. SHEA Infection Prevention curriculum
\niv. Stewardship Certificate<\/a><\/p>\n

c. Experiential<\/p>\n

i. Presentations to P&T committee
\nii. Inpatient AS rounds with PharmD, AS team
\niii. Scholarly activities - research and quality improvement projects \u2013 within the realm of AS, either hospital based or state-wide.
\niv. Organize and administer an AS-related educational program for medical students or house staff
\nv. Rotation with the CT DPH Antibiotic Stewardship\/Healthcare-Associated Infections program<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
