Our residents benefit from a structured simulation curriculum that supports the development of procedural skills, clinical decision-making and leadership in high-stakes clinical situations.<\/p>\n<p>CESI features numerous skills and simulation labs, classroom space, and a wide array of anatomical models that allow residents to practice essential procedures such as arterial puncture, central line placement and nasogastric tube insertion. The clinical simulation lab includes ten dedicated rooms equipped with high-fidelity patient simulators that replicate physical exam findings and respond to medical interventions.<\/p>\n<p>Simulation training begins during orientation, when incoming interns participate in a rapid response training workshop and procedure training day designed to build foundational skills and confidence. Interns practice responding to high-acuity patient scenarios and gain hands-on experience with commonly performed procedures before starting clinical rotations.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout all three years of training, our residents continue to build on these skills through ongoing training sessions focused on procedural competence, emergency response simulation and code blue training.
