Each of our fellow participates in a one-month rotation at the Connecticut Children\u2019s Medical Center to gain exposure to various aspects of congenital heart disease in adults. The rotation consists of the following weekly schedule (subject to slight changes):<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>2 days of clinical activity with adult congenital heart disease specialists<\/li>\n<li>1 day of reading congenital heart disease echocardiogram<\/li>\n<li>1 day of protocoling\/reading congenital heart disease MRI<\/li>\n<li>1 day of observing procedure in the cardiac catheterization laboratory\/electrophysiology laboratory\/open heart surgery<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Additional lectures on congenital heart disease are given during our twice weekly lecture series throughout the year.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Adults with congenital heart disease are becoming a more prominent part of cardiology practices.
