Movement Disorders Lecture Series<\/h3>\n

This clinically oriented session will allow the fellow to present rare and\/or interesting movement disorder cases. A video presentation of a movement disorder phenomenology will be studied. This session will also allow the discussion of cases and application of evidence-based medicine to the care of our patients.<\/p>\n

Clinical Case Conferences<\/h3>\n

The Movement Disorders fellow will be involved in the preparation and presentation of 12 main topics about movement disorders for UConn Neurology residents. Topics range from anatomy to clinical diagnosis and management of common involuntary movements. The fellow also participates in the monthly DBS Case Conference and the bi-weekly NPH Case Conference.<\/p>\n

Neurology Grand Rounds<\/h3>\n

Once a year, the fellow should prepare a topic to be presented at the Neurology Grand Rounds. The topic should be relevant to the non-specialist neurologists, neurology residents, medical students, and health care providers attending this formal session. This is an important step in the preparation to a career in academic institutions and will help the fellow feel comfortable presenting to the public.<\/p>\n

Annual Parkinson\u2019s Disease Symposium<\/h3>\n

Keeping up-to-date with medical knowledge is of paramount importance for the training of Movement Disorders specialists. The annual symposium will allow the review and analysis of new scientific data.
