{"id":3863,"date":"2025-06-04T16:09:18","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T20:09:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/financial-aid\/?page_id=3863"},"modified":"2026-03-04T12:02:31","modified_gmt":"2026-03-04T17:02:31","slug":"scholarship-entry-details","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/financial-aid\/scholarship-entry-details\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship Entry Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-3863\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-3863-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-3863-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\" ><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-3863-1\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-3863-1-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-3863-1-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-first-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>In partnership with both the School of Dental Medicine and School of Medicine, the Office of Student Financial Aid Services will offer two $1,000.00 scholarships in the fall and spring terms to students who participate in the Financial Wellness Program.\u00a0 One medical and one dental student will be randomly selected and awarded the scholarship.\u00a0 Students can only receive the scholarship once per academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the Financial Wellness Program consists of completing different challenges.\u00a0 These range from completing term specific coursework, to attending AAMC webinars and seminars, to submitting budget paperwork.\u00a0 Challenges are optional, but those who choose to participate will receive one scholarship entry for each challenge completed.\u00a0 The more entries, the more chances a student has to receive the scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>There are two tiers of\u00a0 challenges; <strong>standard<\/strong> and <strong>bonus<\/strong>.\u00a0 Once the standard challenge requirement has been successfully completed students will have the opportunity to complete bonus challenges for additional entries.<\/p>\n<p>In the fall a student must complete no less than\u00a0<strong>two<\/strong> separate assigned AAMC courses to be eligible to earn bonus entries.\u00a0 Students can complete more AAMC coursework and attend the AAMC webinars to earn more entries as well.\u00a0 In the spring a student must complete either <strong>one<\/strong> assigned AAMC course\u00a0<strong>AND<\/strong> attend the loan repayment seminar <strong>OR<\/strong> complete\u00a0<strong>two<\/strong> assigned AAMC courses.\u00a0 Again, students can complete more AAMC coursework and attend the AAMC webinars to earn more entries as well.<\/p>\n<p>If a student completes at least <b>three\u00a0 <\/b>bonus challenges, they will get <strong>one<\/strong> extra entry for the scholarship. If they complete at least <strong>six<\/strong> bonus challenges, they will get <strong>two <\/strong>extra entries. And if all <strong>nine<\/strong> bonus challenges are completed, then the student will get <strong>four<\/strong> extra entries for the scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Please make sure to read and follow the instructions for each bonus challenge.\u00a0 Remember you must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/uconn.kualibuild.com\/app\/684712eaa673ad027df0bd52\/run\">Bonus Entry Item<\/a> form each and every bonus challenge completed.\u00a0 If the bonus challenge you complete requires additional documentation please submit that via the <a href=\"https:\/\/login.uconn.edu\/cas\/login?service=https%3A%2F%2Ffileupload.financialaid.uconn.edu%2Fuch_form_upload.php%3Fstudents%3D\">secure document upload.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-3863-1-0-1\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce\" data-index=\"1\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Standard Challenges<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-3863-1-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce\" data-index=\"2\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\"><div class='uc-accordion'>AAMC Course Work<\/div><\/h3><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Students will first register a free account at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aamcfinancialwellness.com\">aamcfinancialwellness.com<\/a> Each academic term a series of courses offered by the AAMC will be assigned.\u00a0 The assignments will be communicated via email, posted to the Financial Aid Website and to the Facebook group page.\u00a0 Each course can consist of learning modules, videos, exercises and an assessment.\u00a0 Students will have the entirety of the academic term (fall or spring) to complete each course.\u00a0 Students need to complete at least <strong>two<\/strong> of the assigned courses in the fall term before they can earn bonus entries.\u00a0 In the spring term a student needs to complete\u00a0<strong>one<\/strong> assigned course if they attend a Loan Repayment Session as well.<\/p>\n<p>Participation is tracked and students need not email regarding their completion.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-3863-1-0-3\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce\" data-index=\"3\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\"><div class='uc-accordion'>Loan Repayment Seminar &#8211; Students who successfully submit an application can earn a bonus entry into the $1,000 scholarship challenge.\u00a0 To earn the entry please submit the <a
