As a first step to be considered for these programs, students must submit the annual Free Application for Federal Student Aid \u201c<b>FAFSA<\/b>\u201d, made available to the public on October 1 every year.\u00a0To complete FAFSA, go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.studentaid.gov\" class=\"external\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Federal Student Aid website<\/a>. Additionally, students are required to meet a satisfactory academic progress (SAP).<\/p>\n<p>Students who wish to be considered for institutional aid must also complete the university&#8217;s Institutional Aid Application. This application requires the student to provide both their and their parent&#8217;s wage and tax information.\u00a0 The only exception made is if a student has legal dependents that they support more than 50%. <b>Students will be required to submit copies of income tax documents including all required schedules for themselves and their parents, as well as W-2 forms<\/b>. Institutional funds are awarded to students who meet the application deadline and on the basis of financial need. Because of this, it is important that students meet the institution\u2019s application deadline.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><em>Institutional aid is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.\u00a0 The date a completed application is submitted, which includes all required wage and tax documents, a complete institutional aid application and a complete FAFSA will determine a student&#8217;s place in line.\u00a0 Institutional aid is need based and not guaranteed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Eligibility<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>To be considered for institutional aid, students must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n<li>Submit an application for institutional aid (Institutional Aid Verification Form)<\/li>\n<li>Submit <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">ALL<\/span> <\/strong>appropriate tax forms (1040s, W2s).\u00a0 A tax transcript in lieu of a tax return and wage &amp; income transcript in lieu of a W-2 are acceptable.<\/li>\n<li>Meet institutional deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Tuition Remission<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The Tuition Remission program is considered a grant and does not need to be paid back.<\/p>\n<h3><b>University Loan<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>The University Loan allows students to have access to funds at a fixed annual rate of 5%, and students will have 10 years to repay this loan.
