Dues and Licenses
An employee whose job requires a professional license or certification, as a condition of employment and who uses such license or certification exclusively or primarily for UConn Health may be reimbursed for the cost associated with the maintenance of such license or certification. Reimbursement of license fees require providing the license, an invoice for the showing the cost of the license and proof of payment (cancelled check, credit card statement, or receipt showing the last four digits of the card used) for the license. In no event shall UConn Health reimburse an Employee for a license that was either obtained or renewed prior to the current period of UConn Health employment. The employee should check with their department to determine if the department is willing to reimburse their license.
Dues and licenses should be paid first by the employee and then submitted for reimbursement using the Miscellaneous Payment Reimbursement Form.
