Age-appropriate activities gently promote large and small muscle development, use of all five senses, and emotional development.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-31-0-0-2\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce\" data-index=\"2\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Toddler Classrooms One, Two and Three <\/h3><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Through positive guidance, teachers navigate toddlers through early social development, including showing empathy for others, exploring interactions with classmates and the world around them, and learning language.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-31-0-0-3\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce\" data-index=\"3\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Preschool Classrooms One and Two<\/h3><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Teachers guide students in cooperative play, age-appropriate vocabulary, listening to and following directions, and positive interactions with peers and adults. Activities encourage large and small muscle development such as pedaling a tricycle and holding a pencil correctly. Students prepare for kindergarten by learning numbers, letters, shapes, colors, and recognizing their own written name.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div id=\"panel-31-0-0-4\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-last-child\" data-index=\"4\" ><h3 class=\"widget-title\">Enrichment<\/h3><div class=\"textwidget\"><p>The director and head teacher are familiar with and make appropriate use of community resources, including social services, whenever needed. In an effort to be meaningfully engaged with our broader community, we invite enthusiastic professionals to enrich our children\u2019s experiences through supplementary classes and special guests.<\/p>\n<h4>Farmington Public Library<\/h4>\n<p>Librarians visit regularly with books and stories.<\/p>\n<h4>Parents and UConn Health Employees<\/h4>\n<p>Parents and community employees are invited to share their talents and occupations with our children.<\/p>\n<p>Our top-notch staff leaders are also at the forefront of advocacy for Connecticut\u2019s children, following proposed legislation relating to early childhood education, and attending legislative hearings whenever possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 Teachers in our infant classroom attend to the safety and security of all babies to ensure a healthy environment.
