Carla Rash &amp; Sheila Alessi of UConn Health, and their staff are recruiting people to take part in the \u201cHealth Behaviors and Employment\u201d Research Study.\u00a0 This study looks at how unemployment and alcohol use relate.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>If you are looking for a job and drink alcohol, you may qualify to participate.<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\"><em><u>Participation involves:<\/u><\/em><\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left\">\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000\">6 interviews over a year<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000\">Individual meetings 1 time per week for 12 weeks that may help you find a job<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000\">Answering cell phone calls regularly for 12 weeks to monitor alcohol use<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Participants are compensated up to $994 in checks and gift cards over the year for their time and participation.\u00a0 Participants will be randomly assigned (like the flip of a coin) to one of four interventions designed to help\u00a0participants toward employment goals.
