Research Internship for K12 Teachers

To support the ongoing research, training, and mentoring efforts at the Connecticut Convergence Institute involving tissue engineering, biomaterials, and drug delivery device design and fabrication. Specifically, the position requires some knowledge/understanding of cell and molecular biology. Additionally, the position requires a background in a STEM field, preferably degree related. The position is approximately 8 weeks long starting in early July.

Requirements: Current K-12 Teacher or Community College Faculty. Candidates must be United States citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.

Research Internship for High School Students

To support the ongoing research, training, and mentoring efforts at the Connecticut Convergence Institute involving tissue engineering, biomaterials, and drug delivery device design and fabrication. The students will work with a senior lab member on a research project. The position is approximate 8 weeks long starting in early July.

Requirements: Current high school student.Candidates must be United States citizens, nationals, or permanent residents. Must be 16 years of age or older by the time of application.

Research Internship for Undergraduates

To support the ongoing research, training, and mentoring efforts at the Connecticut Convergence Institute involving tissue engineering, biomaterials, and drug delivery device design and fabrication. Specifically, the position requires some knowledge/understanding of biomaterials and tissue engineering. Additionally, the position requires a background in molecular and cell biology, preferably degree related. The position is approximate 8 weeks long starting in early May.

Requirements: Current University/College/Community College (CC) student. Candidates must be United States citizens, nationals, or permanent residents.

Ph.D. and Undergraduate Students: The Institute has open positions for highly motivated Ph.D. students. If you study chemistry, pharmacy, materials science, stem cell science, cell biology or come from engineering backgrounds such as electrical/biomedical/chemical/mechanical engineering, and are interested in our regenerative engineering research, please send a CV to wlo@uchc.edu. Undergraduate students are also welcome to join the research group.
