Pedro recently published another paper,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/34877484\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a0<span>MYC dosage <\/span><span>compensation is mediated by miRNA-transcription factor interactions in <\/span><span>aneuploid cancer<\/span><\/a>. <span>The paper, published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S258900422101378X?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">iScience<\/a>, identifies a network of transcription factors and microRNAs <\/span><span>that compensate for MYC gene over-expression and allows certain <\/span><span>cancerous cells to survive in those conditions. This was discovered with <\/span><span>a new computational method that uses COPASI and the findings were <\/span><span>confirmed experimentally.
