The fee for the training session is a one time fee, however there is a training session for each microscope. If you do not wish to become a user, you may arrange to work with a CCAM staff, person at the hourly rate. Each lab is<br \/>\n      responsible for managing and backing up their data. Use of the microscopes and imaging workstations is restricted to authorized users. There are NO exceptions to this policy.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      For assistance, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/high-performance-computing\/contact\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">High Performance Computing Facility<\/a>.\n    <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"info-panel\" aria-labelledby=\"computer-access\">\n<div class=\"info-panel__content section-spacing\">\n     <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/cell-analysis-modeling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/149\/2021\/03\/ccam-access-computer-v2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"info-panel__text section-spacing\">\n<h2 id=\"computer-access\">Computer Software\/Access<\/h2>\n<p>Microscope account users have access to CCAM software (including NIS-Elements from Nikon, and Imaris 3-D rendering and analysis software from Bitplane graphics). <a href=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/cell-analysis-modeling\/microscopy-facility-contacts\/\">Contact CCAM<\/a> staff for more information on accessing CCAM analysis software.\n    <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"info-panel\" aria-labelledby=\"general-guidelines\">\n<div class=\"info-panel__content\">\n     <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/health.uconn.edu\/cell-analysis-modeling\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/149\/2021\/03\/CCAM-Guidelines.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"128\" height=\"128\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"info-panel__text\">\n<h2 id=\"general-guidelines\">General Microscope User Guidelines<\/h2>\n<p>Please plan ahead for microscope usage. The signup for a given day on the online microscope calendars opens 1 week in advance. Users are guaranteed 4 hours per week and you are invited to sign up for more time, as the schedule permits, however if other users have trouble getting access to the microscopes you may be asked to forfeit the\u00a0time exceeding your guaranteed 4 hours.\n<\/p>\n<p>Please note, time used during the week before 9 a.m. and after 5 p.m., as well as weekend time is not counted in this guaranteed 4 hour limit. In addition, please do not\u00a0sign up for more than 4 hours at one session unless you have requested additional time from either Dr. Yi Wu, <a href=\"mailto:yiwu@uchc.edu\">yiwu@uchc.edu<\/a>, <a href=\"tel:+18606791449\">860-679-1449<\/a> or\u00a0Susan Staurovsky, <a href=\"mailto:staurovsky@uchc.edu\">staurovsky@uchc.edu<\/a>, <a href=\"tel:+18606794686\">860-679-4686<\/a>. Normally, additional time will be allotted for live cell experiments or for outside collaborations. If you have repeated difficulty signing up for time on any microscope, please contact Yi or Susan\u00a0and we will do our best to get you access to the microscope in a reasonable time frame.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      If you cannot keep your appointment, please delete your name from the sign up. Please try not to sign up for time unless you know you will use it. It is understandable that some experiments will fail or other problems might arise.
