Many of our electronic exams (e-exams) are administered using the Respondus<\/a> LockDown Browser (LDB). Respondus LDB is a customized browser used to facilitate secured administration of exams by preventing printing, copying, accessing the internet via a different browser, or opening other. Respondus LDB is installed on exam workstations.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Installing Respondus LDB<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Login to HuskyCT<\/li>\n
  2. Go to https:\/\/lms.uconn.edu\/<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Login to HuskyCT with your NetID and Password<\/li>\n
  4. Under \u201cUseful Links for Students\u201d located “Download Respondus Lockdown Browser”\n
      \n
    1. You may need to click on \u201cShow All.\u201d Scroll to the area marked LockDown Browser. In the yellow section, click the highlighted \u201cDownload from this location\u201d link.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Scroll down on the right menu to \u201cDownload Respondus Lockdown Browser.\u201d<\/li>\n
    3. On the Respondus page, click the \u201cInstall Now\u201d button.<\/li>\n
    4. A Respondus window opens. Click on Install Now\/Save File. Save the file LockDownBrower-2-XXXXX.exe You will get a prompt to install. Click Yes.<\/li>\n
    5. Accept the License Terms. Click Next.<\/li>\n
    6. Click Finish. You should now have a Respondus LockDown Browser on your Desktop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Updating Respondus LDB<\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. To Click on the LockDown Browser on your Desktop<\/li>\n
      2. Go to the \u201ci\u201d on the top menu<\/li>\n
      3. There is a button to Check for a Newer Version<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
